Why are several outlets dead but the breaker is on?
An upstream GFCI, loose connection, open conductor or failed device can interrupt downstream outlets without moving the breaker handle.
Can I replace the dead outlet myself?
The visible outlet may not be the cause. Incorrect wiring can create shock, heat and grounding problems, so a professional evaluation fits when the cause is unclear.
Does a GFCI reset restore every outlet?
Only outlets connected to its protected load side. A line/load error or another open connection can keep devices dead.
