The written option identifies which services apply, what Landmark supplies, known access limits and any customer, utility, manufacturer or other-trade responsibility before work moves forward.

Structured cabling begins with the endpoint plan
A data-cabling quote should identify every source and destination rather than rely on an estimated cable count alone. Landmark reviews workstation, access-point, phone, camera or equipment locations; telecom-room or network-rack destination; ceiling construction; wall access; pathway and cable-rating requirements before finalizing the run list.
Cable type and pathway depend on the installed environment. Plenum-rated cable may be required where the cable passes through environmental-air spaces, while metallic pathways, surface raceway, J-hooks or other support methods may be selected from the building conditions and written scope.

Power, data and pathway coordination
Office renovations and equipment installations often require power and data at the same location. Landmark can coordinate the electrical circuit, furniture feed, floor box or surface pathway with the low-voltage run while maintaining separation and using the materials appropriate to each system.
The proposal identifies whether a rack, patch panel, cable management, conduit, surface raceway, firestopping, lift access or furniture coordination is included. Existing abandoned cable removal is a separate scope unless listed.
Testing and network responsibility must be explicit
Basic wiremap or continuity verification confirms conductor order and connection continuity; it is not the same as certification testing against a cabling performance standard. When certification results are required, the test method, documentation and acceptance criteria must be identified before work begins.
Landmark does not assume responsibility for internet service, network architecture, switches, routers, firewalls, cybersecurity, Wi-Fi coverage, device programming or carrier activation. Those services remain with the customer or network provider unless separately accepted in writing.

Frequently asked questions
Does Landmark install plenum-rated Cat6 cable?
Yes, when the route requires it or the written project specification calls for it. Cable rating, pathway and support method are selected from the installed environment.
Can you terminate both ends of each Ethernet run?
Yes. The scope can include modular jacks, RJ45 plugs or patch-panel termination, wall plates, labels and basic verification. Endpoint quantities and termination types must be defined.
Do you configure the network after installing the cable?
Not unless separately stated. Structured-cabling installation does not automatically include switches, routers, internet service, Wi-Fi design, device setup, cybersecurity or network administration.

Any special access, extended diagnosis, permit or after-hours considerations are explained before work moves forward.
