Start with the circuits and equipment you want backed up
Choose an essential-circuits or expanded-home starting point, then adjust all 16 load groups. The result combines estimated running watts, the largest motor-starting allowance and a 20% planning reserve to show a practical Generac capacity range.

Generac planning tool
Use the calculator to organize priorities—not to choose a model by guesswork.
The result is a planning range. Landmark verifies nameplates, motor starting, fuel delivery, clearances, transfer equipment, load management and the approved installation before selecting equipment.

Natural-gas output and required gas delivery can vary by model. Landmark verifies the meter, regulator, piping and published Generac rating before selection.
These typical wattages cannot account for appliance nameplates, HVAC starting characteristics, simultaneous use, service capacity, transfer equipment, fuel delivery, local requirements or manufacturer instructions. Landmark installs and services Generac standby generators and confirms the final model only after a site-specific evaluation.
How the planning estimate works
- Adds the estimated running watts for every selected load
- Adds the largest single motor-starting difference
- Adds a 20% reserve for planning headroom
- Maps the result to common Generac air-cooled capacity classes
- Flags combinations that may need load management or a larger solution
Flexible payment options
Financing is available for qualifying electrical projects.
Landmark works with independent finance companies to offer qualified customers a range of payment-plan options. Review the available providers and continue through the provider you choose.
What Landmark verifies before selecting a Generac
The final recommendation is based on the exact appliances and HVAC equipment, nameplate data, desired coverage, electrical-service capacity, automatic transfer strategy, natural-gas or LP delivery, equipment clearances, permits and current Generac instructions. A load-management plan can sometimes protect priority equipment without sizing for every load at once.

Generator sizing questions
Does this calculator choose the final Generac model?
No. It creates a planning range from typical wattages. Landmark verifies appliance nameplates, motor starting, fuel delivery, transfer equipment, load management and site conditions before selecting a model.
Why is a motor-starting allowance included?
Motors in air conditioners, pumps, blowers and compressors can require more power while starting than while running. The calculator adds the largest estimated starting difference instead of assuming every motor starts at the same moment.
Can financing be used for a Generac installation?
Qualifying projects may be eligible for third-party financing. Landmark's financing page provides separate access to each available provider. Approval, rates and terms are controlled by the provider selected by the customer.
