No membership required

One-Time Generac or Honeywell Essential Maintenance — $289

For homeowners who want the core maintenance service without a plan, renewal or membership benefits. Scheduled normal-business-hours pricing covers one qualifying Generac or Honeywell residential air-cooled standby generator through 26 kW with safe, unobstructed ground-level access.

  • Drain and replace engine oil with manufacturer-specified full-synthetic oil, subject to model-specific break-in requirements
  • Replace the oil filter, air filter and applicable spark plug or plugs with genuine Generac maintenance parts
  • Properly gap the spark plug or plugs and dispose of used oil and replaced maintenance materials
  • Perform a brief start-and-run verification and return the generator to AUTO

This one-time service covers the core parts service commonly associated with Schedule A; the generator's model-specific manual and operating hours control manufacturer-required intervals. It does not include a comprehensive inspection, battery or charger testing, automatic load-transfer testing, diagnosis, repairs, a digital condition report, priority, discounts or automatic renewal.

Generator plans are billed annually; the $289 one-time service does not renew. Included service is limited to the enrolled qualifying generator and written scope. Repairs, batteries, Schedule B work and other add-ons are separately authorized and priced, with the applicable Plus or Premium discount applied to eligible work.

Included with every generator plan

Complete Annual Generator Maintenance

Once during each active 12-month term, every plan includes a complete annual maintenance service with genuine Generac maintenance parts, full-synthetic engine oil, used-oil disposal and a functional automatic-transfer test when the equipment and property conditions permit safe operation.

Unit identification and safety review

  • Record the generator model, serial number, operating hours, controller alerts and reported outage or service history.
  • Visually review the enclosure, mounting surface, ventilation openings, surrounding clearance and readily accessible fuel and exhaust components.
  • Identify visible leakage, corrosion, pest or debris intrusion, physical damage, unsafe access or conditions that prevent safe operation.

Engine and preventive maintenance

  • Drain and replace the engine oil with full-synthetic oil of the manufacturer-specified viscosity, except when the unit's break-in requirements call for another approved oil.
  • Replace the engine oil filter and engine air filter with genuine Generac maintenance parts.
  • Replace and properly gap the applicable genuine Generac spark plug or plugs.
  • Collect and properly dispose of the used engine oil and replaced maintenance materials.
  • Clean readily accessible dust, leaves and debris from the enclosure and serviceable areas without destructive disassembly.

Battery, controls and transfer operation

  • Inspect the battery, terminals, cables and charger indication; document visible concerns or test results. Battery replacement is not included.
  • Review controller status, exercise settings and readily accessible generator electrical connections without disturbing unsafe energized components.
  • After maintenance, simulate a utility-power interruption when conditions permit; verify generator start, automatic transfer of the connected household load, stable operation, retransfer after utility power is restored, cooldown and return to AUTO.
  • Record available output voltage and frequency readings. The functional transfer test is not a calibrated load-bank test.

Completion and documentation

  • Restore the controller to the proper automatic operating mode and confirm the enclosure is secured.
  • Document maintenance performed, operating observations, test readings, manufacturer-scheduled items and separately recommended repairs.
  • Provide a digital maintenance report. Recommended corrective work is optional and requires separate customer authorization and pricing.

Premium only

Six-month operational wellness check

Approximately six months after the annual maintenance visit, Premium includes one additional operational check of the enrolled generator. Landmark will visually review the unit and surrounding area, check oil level and controller status, review operating hours and alerts, inspect battery and charger indications, perform a non-load operational run when safe, record available voltage and frequency readings, restore automatic mode and document observed concerns. This is not a second full maintenance service and does not include another oil change, filters, spark plugs, transfer test, diagnostics, repairs or replacement parts unless separately authorized.

Generator-maintenance scope and limitations

Published plan prices cover one Generac or Honeywell residential air-cooled standby generator rated up to 26 kW, serving one occupied residential property, with safe and unobstructed ground-level access. Liquid-cooled units, commercial equipment, portable generators, units above 26 kW, elevated or specialty-access installations, multiple generators and brands other than Generac or Honeywell require a separate written quote.

The generator must be in serviceable condition. Pre-existing faults, unsafe installations, inaccessible equipment or a unit that cannot operate may require separately authorized diagnostic or repair work before maintenance or transfer testing can be completed.

Manufacturer schedules and maintenance kits vary by model, age, operating hours, environment and outage use. Landmark verifies the exact kit and service procedure from model and serial information before service. Extra oil/filter service after extended runtime, valve-clearance service, fuel-pressure testing or correction, gas piping, batteries, repairs, firmware or monitoring subscriptions, permits and code corrections are not included unless expressly listed in writing.

Additional generator care

Common add-on services

When testing, generator age, operating hours or the model-specific maintenance schedule identifies additional work, Landmark will explain the finding and provide separate pricing before proceeding. Plus receives 5% and Premium receives 10% off eligible additional generator parts and labor, applied to the first $2,500 of eligible work during the active plan term.

Maintenance and reliability

  • Battery replacement, terminal or cable service, and battery-charger diagnosis or repair
  • Model-specific Schedule B maintenance, including applicable valve-clearance inspection or adjustment
  • Break-in service and extended-runtime or post-outage oil and filter service
  • Cold-weather kit, battery warmer or approved oil-heater installation and service

Controls, transfer and fuel diagnosis

  • Mobile Link setup, account pairing or connectivity correction; monitoring subscriptions are separate
  • Automatic transfer switch, load-management module, control wiring or related repairs
  • Fuel-pressure, regulator and delivery diagnosis; gas-piping or regulator modifications require a separate quote
  • Additional diagnosis and repair of generator faults, alarms, starting concerns or shutdown conditions

Schedule B pricing covers only the additional model-required work not already completed as part of the included annual maintenance. Every add-on requires customer approval before work begins.

Generator plan terms

Eligibility, payment, scheduling and service rules

These terms explain how the comparison is applied. The generator maintenance agreement accepted at enrollment is the controlling plan document.

Annual term and payment

  • Each generator plan is a 12-month agreement for one enrolled generator at one enrolled residential property.
  • Generator plans are billed annually. Payment is due at enrollment, and plan benefits begin after payment is accepted.
  • Monthly installment purchasing is not currently offered for these generator plans.
  • The plan is not transferable to another person, property or generator unless Landmark agrees in writing.

Scheduling included visits

  • Annual maintenance is included once per active term. Premium also includes one operational wellness check targeted for approximately six months after annual maintenance.
  • Landmark and the member must arrange a confirmed appointment; a plan purchase does not create an automatic appointment.
  • Unused visits expire at the end of the plan term. If the member requested the visit during the active term and Landmark could not schedule it before expiration, Landmark will honor that visit within a reasonable period after expiration.
  • Priority status improves scheduling position but does not guarantee an arrival time or immediate storm response. Active life-safety calls, technician availability, weather, roads, access and safe working conditions control.

Dispatch, diagnosis and repairs

  • Plus and Premium waive Landmark's $79 normal-business-hours generator dispatch/evaluation fee. Standard pays the applicable $79 fee.
  • After normal business hours through 10:00 PM, the generator dispatch fee is $189 for Standard, $99 for Plus and waived for Premium when Premium's once-per-term after-hours waiver is available.
  • After 10:00 PM, the generator dispatch fee is $189 for Standard and Plus and waived for Premium when Premium's once-per-term after-hours waiver is available. After that waiver is used, Premium's additional non-holiday after-hours dispatches are $189.
  • On Landmark-observed major holidays, the generator dispatch fee is $189 for Standard, $189 for Plus and $99 for Premium. The Premium once-per-term after-hours waiver does not replace the stated holiday rate.
  • A waived or reduced dispatch fee applies only to dispatch and the initial evaluation. It does not include extended diagnosis, repair labor, replacement parts, batteries, additional maintenance, permits or return visits.
  • Plus receives 5% and Premium receives 10% off eligible additional parts and labor associated with maintenance, diagnosis or repair of the enrolled Generac generator. The discount applies only to the first $2,500 of eligible work per plan term, for a maximum plan-term discount of $125 for Plus and $250 for Premium.
  • Discounts do not apply to plan fees, dispatch or emergency fees, generator purchases, replacements or installations, taxes, permits, financing charges, fuel supply or gas-piping modifications, subcontracted work, manufacturer warranty or recall work, previously approved or completed work, or another discount or promotion.

Renewal, cancellation and refunds

  • The plan automatically renews for successive 12-month terms using the authorized annual payment method unless renewal is canceled before the next term begins.
  • Landmark will send a renewal notice approximately 30–45 days before expiration stating the renewal date, next-term price, payment schedule and cancellation methods.
  • Automatic renewal may be canceled before the renewal charge by calling 586-405-0227, emailing help@call-landmark.com, or using the written or online cancellation method provided at enrollment. Landmark will provide cancellation confirmation.
  • Canceling renewal prevents the next term but does not retroactively cancel the current term. Annual payments are nonrefundable after an included visit, waived fee, priority response, repair discount or other monetary benefit has been used, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Excluded equipment and work

Published pricing does not cover liquid-cooled generators, commercial units, portable generators, units above 26 kW, multiple generators, other manufacturers or unsafe or specialty-access installations. Repairs, replacement components, batteries, Schedule B work, valve adjustment, extended-runtime maintenance, fuel-pressure work, gas piping, remote monitoring, cellular subscriptions, warranty administration, permits and code corrections are separately priced unless expressly included in writing. Eligible Plus and Premium discounts apply only as stated above.

Service limits and member responsibilities

The member must provide safe access, disclose known faults and outage runtime, maintain required property and utility conditions, authorize any interruption needed for a transfer test, and schedule included visits. Landmark may stop or defer testing when operation could be unsafe or damaging. Maintenance and testing do not guarantee failure-free operation, uninterrupted power or future emergency response, and the plan is a maintenance agreement—not insurance or a repair warranty. Nonwaivable statutory cancellation and refund rights control over conflicting plan language.

Michigan service-contract notice

If performance of the service contract is interrupted because of a strike or work stoppage at the company's place of business, the effective period of the service contract shall be extended for the period of the strike or work stoppage.

One-time service plus three generator plans

The $289 one-time Generac or Honeywell Essential Maintenance Service provides the core oil, oil-filter, air-filter and spark-plug service without renewal or membership benefits. Standard is $329 per year and adds a comprehensive inspection, battery and charger testing, functional automatic load-transfer testing, digital reporting and storm-season priority. Plus is $429 per year and adds year-round generator priority, waiver of the $79 normal-business-hours generator dispatch fee, a reduced $99 evening dispatch rate through 10:00 PM and 5% off eligible additional generator parts and labor. Premium is $749 per year and adds one six-month operational wellness check, front-of-line generator priority, one waived non-holiday after-hours generator dispatch per term and 10% off eligible additional generator parts and labor. Plus and Premium discounts apply to the first $2,500 of eligible work per plan term.

Complete annual maintenance in every plan

Every plan includes full-synthetic engine oil, a genuine Generac oil filter, genuine Generac air filter, applicable genuine Generac spark plug or plugs, used-oil disposal, battery and charger testing, controller review, operational testing, a digital maintenance report and a functional automatic transfer test with connected household load when conditions permit. The transfer test confirms generator start, transfer, retransfer, cooldown and return to AUTO; it is not a calibrated load-bank test.

Published pricing covers defined residential equipment

The advertised prices cover one Generac or Honeywell residential air-cooled standby generator rated up to 26 kW with safe, unobstructed ground-level access. Liquid-cooled units, commercial equipment, portable generators, other brands, larger systems, elevated installations and multiple generators require a separate written quote.

Common additional services remain separately approved

Battery replacement, model-specific Schedule B work, valve-clearance service when applicable, break-in or extended-runtime maintenance, Mobile Link setup, cold-weather accessories, transfer or load-management repairs, fuel-pressure diagnosis and other repairs require separate customer approval and pricing. A generator that cannot be operated safely may require diagnosis before maintenance or transfer testing.

Keep generator and electrical coverage clear

Generator maintenance does not automatically inspect every home circuit, panel condition or service component. Home electrical maintenance is a separate membership scope.

Frequently asked questions

Are the oil, filters and spark plugs included in every generator plan?

Yes. Standard, Plus and Premium each include full-synthetic engine oil, a genuine Generac oil filter, genuine Generac air filter, applicable genuine Generac spark plug or plugs and used-oil disposal during the annual maintenance visit, subject to model-specific break-in requirements.
