What is the difference between a panel replacement and a service upgrade?

A panel replacement changes the distribution equipment. A service upgrade increases or materially changes the service supplying it. They may occur together, but one does not automatically include the other.

Will a new panel stop breakers from tripping?

Only if the tripping is caused by a panel or breaker condition addressed by the project. Overloaded circuits, equipment faults and branch-circuit problems still require their own diagnosis and correction.

How long will the power be off?
